How did you attract/address your audience?
I address the audience in a friendly and welcoming way to make them feel at home. I will have to make sure the guests are people that young people can relate to so they will have to have a good knowledge of up and coming music and artists and be interesting and original and have a good track available to play. The language used will have to be suited for younger people so this allows presenter and guest alike to use slang words.

Who would be the audience for your media product?
My target audience will be people of a young generation so 14 - 30. This is because it is based around new beats and music that this generation have been brought up with. These genres include drum&bass, hip hop and jungle.Because of this I will have to make sure the guests are people that this target audience can relate to so they will have to have a good knowledge of up and coming music and artists and be interesting and original and have a good track available to play. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
I think that the BBC would distribute my media product. This is because they have the 1Xtra section of the radio station. This brings out new and experimental beats just as I feature in my show. It has no swearing in which means the BBC would have no objections to it and it has a reasonably large target audience meaning it will bring in plenty of listeners.

How does your media product represent particular social groups?
My media product represents the young generation of listeners. This is because guests on the show are role models for people in the struggle so can relate to the poor social class people in providing inspiration in the interviews. The music also relates to all of the younger generation as the beats are new unique and all about expressing yourself which is what this generation is all about. The beats featured can be heard at party's as well as just songs to be on-the-go to everyday. This means the social groups will be young adults and teenagers, poor and rich.

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
It follows a very similar layout to shows of the same genre and style. I challenged the experimental side of things by expanding the guidelines of the genres by incorporating influences from other genres but applying them to experimental and D&B styles.
The dialogue I kept the same in the way they talk with a bit of slang and up to date accent and words to keep the young target audience feel involved and to help them relate to the show.
I kept the layout the same in the intro being a catchy long beat that has voice effects building up to the host talking.
I then applied a breakdown before the talking adding suspense and variety in the atmosphere and makes the audience alert at all times as they don't know what to expect happen next.
